MALWAREBYTES ALTERNATIVE PC
If I went to a low powered PC that simply couldn't handle having two security products, I would probably try to use Norton first over MalwareBytes, simply because of the "Suite" aspects that I already use and like. We are a largely Apple/Chromebook district so the number of PCs is relatively small. For me, however, I see no reason to stop using either. Our district is looking at going away from Malwarebytes as we have had issues involving POs and a few other things not worth discussing. If you want 'soup to nuts' coverage, I personally don't think Norton is a bad choice. But I also don't believe the current Norton product deserves the scorn it gets from users either. For virus protection, it gets similar scores as the most trusted paid antivirus solutions without having many false positives.
MALWAREBYTES ALTERNATIVE SOFTWARE
I'm not sure you could find an alternative product that occupies the exact same niche as MWB. Ad-Aware is a well known veteran in battle against adware and spyware and today still counts as a solid piece of security software on that matter. I have also downloaded the MalwareBytes freebie, "MalwareBytes Anti-exploit" Norton offers a similar product, but I preferred the MalwareBytes version in terms of UI, etc.
MALWAREBYTES ALTERNATIVE ANDROID
Plus, there is a free version of the Norton password safe for my Android phone and tablet, that works great. Backups, safe search, identity protection, password safe, etc.all work great. I like the "Suite" part of Norton, that covers more than just malware. There doesn't appear to be any hit on operational speed with the two fully involved. I schedule regular scans from both, one every two weeks or so, relying on their realtime protection in between. Otherwise, the first one to scan a file will catch the malware. I like the combination of the two very much, Sometimes, one will catch a malware problem that the other does not. I've heard the steady anti-Norton drumbeat over the last few years and in spite of not really having any problems with Norton, I bought a license for MalwareBytes primarily because it claims to work well with other PC security software.Īnd so far, it has. I am hardly a PC security expert, BUT.Īs a Comcast subscriber, I get a copy of the Norton Security suite as part of my subscription. Is there another product, similar or better for Windows 7?

However, their official seller is not delivering a good service, even denying that I had a version, until I sent them an invoice copy.

I am been using Malware Bytes (paid version) for the last year.
